If a quake hit in Utah - we'd need preparedness kits, like the people in Haiti

How to Prepare a Disaster Supplies Kit For Home and Car

• First aid kit and essential medications. • Canned food and can opener. • At least three gallons of water per person. • Protective clothing, rainwear, and bedding or sleeping bags. • Battery-powered radio, flashlight, and extra batteries. • Special items for infant, elderly, or disabled family members. • Written instructions for how to turn off gas, electricity, and water if authorities advise you to do so. (Remember, you'll need a professional to turn natural gas service back on.) • Keeping essentials, such as a flashlight and sturdy shoes, by your bedside.

In Haiti right now, people need a first aid kit.. some food... water.. sturdy shoes... If a quake hit Utah, we'd all need those very same items. Put a kit together today. You'll be Red Cross Ready ... for anything.

Buy a kit - go to www.utahredcross.org and click on "store" or take this list and make your own kit. The Red Cross wants everyone to have a kit!
