Invites the public to an Open House at its new location
Salt Lake City, UTAH ( Friday, November 06, 2009)— The Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter of the American Red Cross invites the public to attend an open house at the office’s new location at 555 East 300 South, Suite #200 in Salt Lake city on Thursday, November 12th at 4:00 pm. The Open House will include a ribbon cutting ceremony courtesy of the Salt Lake Chamber. Light refreshments will be served.
The Greater Salt Lake Area Chapter of the Red Cross responded to 57 disasters helping 402 individuals affected by disaster, many of them children. The Chapter covers 10 counties including towns from Tooele in the west, Salt Lake County, Park City and Vernal in the east. This local Chapter also serves as the Utah region headquarters and supported efforts to respond to 114 disasters statewide helping 619 individuals with immediate essential needs this past year. The local Chapter also makes your community a safer place; training 54,385 people in swimming, lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED and disaster preparedness. The Red Cross also helped 1,169 military members and connected 60 families separated by an international crisis.
